On Sunday, February 12th, with some nostalgia and after several podium finishes, Kyle drove his XRAY XB808 for the last time in competition before taking delivery of the all-new XB9 in a few days time.
The terrain was very difficult as it had rained heavily overnight and the track was very muddy and traction problems did not help either.

Besides time for free practice, the event consisted of three 7-minute heats, with the best 7 drivers making it to the 30-minute final. With a total of 11 laps, Kyle (together with Frank Azzopardi) set the record for the number of laps in the third heat.

Starting at grid slot 2, Kyle had taken the lead by the first turn, and kept this lead for the next 10 laps. Kyle made a couple of mistakes at this point, allowing Frank (who started on grid slot 1) to take the lead. For the rest of the race, it was a battle between these two. Besides managing to lap the rest of the field, these two were always on the same lap. Coming to the last lap, Kyle had to settle for 2nd place by only a few seconds. Both drivers achieved 43 laps.
The battle for 3rd place was won by Noel Micallef who lapped the track 41 times, Lawrence Mangion with his XRAY finished 4th with 40 laps. Lawrence was unlucky to have lost valuable time; when mid-way through the race, he had to make an unscheduled pit stop to change his transmitter batteries. The other XRAY driver had to retire while on his 29th lap and in 4th place.
